OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The state agency that oversees Medicaid in Oklahoma will hold its regular meeting to discuss changes coming to the program as a result of the Affordable Care Act.
The Oklahoma Health Care Authority will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at its conference room in Oklahoma City.
Agency spokeswoman Jo Kilgore says the panel is expected to consider a rule change so that the agency can comply with a new system for determining Medicaid eligibility that is part of the new federal health care law.
Kilgore says rule changes related to a recent waiver approved by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that will allow the state's Insure Oklahoma health care program to continue operating for another year won't be considered until October.
