It should all be about what is best for the Child, she has been living with her real dad, he is a fit parent with a stable home, it's clear he loves his little girl and she loves him. If she is to be taken away from her real family, there will be that one day when she will look for her family and find out how her dad fought for her and be very angry at the ones who took her away, She will always wonder what life would of been like. Family, grandparents she never got to meet, This will affect her life. I think everyone should stop and put Veronica FIRST! She is loved and wanted by her real family, to where there are so many children out there that are not loved, have no family and no home. I think adoption is a wonderful thing and I'm sure the people wanting Veronica are good people, But do they want veronica or what's best for veronica? do they really want to take her raise her just to watch her look back and always wonder what life would of been like with her Dad, Sister, grandparents, ect. And most of all the resentment she may feel. To the adoptive parents.. she will someday want to know why you took her from her family and to the Dad.. don't ever stop fighting! Where veronica will know you never gave up on her. No amount of money or Love will help veronica get over the lost time, birthdays, holidays, Family.

Louise, There are 7 Dustin Browns in OK. He is Dusten and it wasnt him that owed the back support. He only has one other child. The mother gave false information regarding the spelling of his name and his DOB. So before calling names you might want to get facts. Veronica belongs with her dad. It is well known bio mom lied. The so called adoption is not legal, mom even admitted she didn't tell all the truth. I would read both sides before making false accusations.

I am part Cherokee myself and this whole thing makes me not even want to claim that I am. Mr. Brown knew that his baby was Cherokee when he gave up his rights to this baby.

Amen, LouisP! I agree. Anyone else in America ordered on a Writ to bring a hild to court who didn't would be arrested! Interesting how Mr. Brown and Cherokee Nation's excuse for not following S.Carolina's lawful order was that they would only follow Oklahoma orders, because only Oklahoma has jurisdiction. Well, surprise, surprise! Mr. Brown doesn't follow Oklahoma court orders either. Dusten Brown, apparently, is the only "dad" in America with absolutely NO legal rights to a child who is ABOVE every law and court in this country . . . including the United States Supreme Court. It's shameful. Where are law enforcement?

Absolutely amazing. If the state of South Carolina, Oklahoma or the Feds don't put Mr. Brown in jail, DHS needs to step up and put him there. Really, $11000 in back child support for another child, one that apparently he can live without. Shame on him and shame on the Cherokee Nation for supporting such a deadbeat with selective parenting. Once again, he signed a legal document giving the birth mother sole custody. At least she loved her baby enough to give her a better life because obviously she could see that he was not a fit parent. Also, I saw someone else say that this sets a horrible for other Cherokee children waiting to be adopted and loved. PLEASE PLEASE will some government authority step up and follow the law and let the legal adoptive parents have their legally adopted daughter back.
