Department of Correction agents captured an escaped inmate from a minimum security facility in McAlester in Tulsa.
Jerry Massie, spokesman for the DOC, says Kenneth Hammick was missing at the 8:30 am inmate count on Thursday morning.
DOC agents found Hammick and Tara Shanholtzer at the Econo Lodge at 31st and Memorial Thursday night. They say Hammick was hiding under a bed. Shanholtzer was arrest for harboring a fugitive.
Hammick was convicted of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, but has a history of charges including obtaining money by false pretense, first degree burglary and larceny.
