Mannford Public School students went back to class on Thursday, despite recent wildfires.
Wildfires in Creek County destroyed 209 homes, including the homes of five Mannford Public School staff members and 70 students.
School officials collected $15,000 in donations and started distributing those supplies to students on Monday, including vouchers for the parents to buy necessities. Officials will continue handing out supplies as needed.
Mannford officials also shared the donations with the Olive, Drumright and Oak Grove districts, also impacted by the wildfires.
