SAPULPA, Okla. - FOX23 is following a developing story out of Sapulpa. A manhunt is currently underway for a man accused of going after someone's car with a sledgehammer.

Police told FOX23 it happened in a Kum & Go parking lot at the corner of North 9th Street and Muskogee Avenue. FOX23 learned this incident actually started at a McDonalds in Sapulpa

Apparently the man police are looking for right now smashed a car window there. Then he saw a woman he knew and chased her in his car to the Kum & Go.

When the woman pulled over, the suspect got out of his car and smashed her window with a sledge hammer. A mess of glass and a damaged car is all that’s left behind.

We were told the woman was taken to the hospital.

Police are still looking for the man.

Officers would not comment, but people at the scene said it was chaos.

So this is a manhunt for vandalism, right? Hate to think of what they do to jaywalkers.
