Man tries to escape Tulsa deputies twice

Tulsa County Sheriff’s Deputies used force to re-capture a suspect who ran from them not once, but twice.

Major Shannon Clark says Kalias Owens had a warrant hearing and when he realized he was going to be arrested he ran from the courthouse.

Deputies tackled him and used a taser to subdue him. They say when they got Owens outside to the car he ducked down, slipped the cuffs to the front and ran about a block before he was recaptured.

Owens faces two counts of escape in addition to charges of possession of a stolen vehicle.

Seem to have a double-standard on releasing courthouse video. This self-serving one was published immediately, but the surveillance video showing last years courthouse shooting is still withheld because of "ongoing investigation"? A TPD investigator who saw the video say it doesnt back-up TCSO's version of events, which is likely why it's still under wraps.

i think anyone would have done the same thang. thank god they didn't shoot him. it sounds like he was scared as hell. if, u can't do the time don't do the crime....
