Man shot by Mayes County deputy identified

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is handling the investigation after a Mayes County Deputy shot and killed a man.

OSBI said the deputy was dispatched to a home in the 130000 block of South 425 Road in Chelsea just before 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday. They said 33-year old Shane Bridges was standing on the porch of the home fired a shot when they deputy arrived.

The deputy returned fire, shooting and killing the Bridges.  The name of the deputy will not be released by OSBI.

OSBI is who police call to sanitize bad shootings and conduct a proper cover-up (Note that the killer's names are kept secret). It's more common than people realize.
