Police were called to north Tulsa Sunday night after officers say a truck hit a horse.

FOX23 was on scene as police investigated this unusual accident. Crews found a man was riding his horse in the dark, when a truck hit the horse. The rider fell off, but was not seriously hurt.

Police said someone threw a hammer through the back window of the truck. Both parties went to the nearest QuikTrip to call police.

The horse could have a leg injury, no one else was injured. Officers did not ticket the rider or the driver of the truck.
