The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said icy roads may have been a factor in a crash that killed one man Thursday morning near
Owasso.

The man has been identified as 24-year old Clark Vanpelt of Owasso.

The highway patrol said the fatal wreck occurred at 106th Street North east of 161st East Avenue. Roads and highways in eastern and northern Oklahoma were slick and hazardous Thursday morning, while areas in west central Oklahoma reported freezing fog and limited visibility.

The National Weather Service says freezing drizzle is possible Thursday morning from Oklahoma City eastward, but temperatures are expected to rise above freezing. On Friday, rain is predicted with high temperatures in the 50s.

In western Oklahoma, a freezing fog advisory is in place until 9 a.m. Thursday.
