Man hit by car in serious condition

A man walking near Inola was injured by a car Saturday.

Around 10 p.m. Gabriel Haywood, 20 years old, was walking along 4170 County Road and East-West 590 near Inola when he fell into the road and was struck by a 1998 Honda driven by Terence Sylvester, 68 years old.

Haywood was admitted to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa in serious condition with head, trunk and internal injuries. Sylvester was not wearing a seat belt but was not injured.
