Broken Arrow police arrested a man who was involved in a five hour stand-off on Sunday night.
32-year-old John Pruner is now in custody after officers forced their way into the home he was holding himself up inside at the 2900 block of North 22nd Street, near 61st and 193rd.
Police responded to a domestic disturbance at 4:30 p.m. No one allowed them into the home. Police said a woman from inside the home called 911 and told them the suspect said if officers did not leave he was going to kill everyone in the house.
Police believed Pruner was armed. Moments later the women exited the home and told police there was a 2-year-old child inside.
She was transported by EMSA. Officers could not describe her injuries at the time. Soon after that, officers were not able to tell the exact time frame, but the child was safely removed from the house.
Police stayed in contact with Pruner through his cell phone. At one point he told officers he would have to charge his cell phone because it was low on battery but they never lost contact with him. By 10:30 officers forced their way into the home and brought Pruner out.
Pruner faces charges of domestic assault and battery, assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping and rape.
