Man burns tree stump, grass fire ensues

A man told Tulsa fire that he was burning a tree stump in his front yard near 47th and South Lewis Avenue when the wind caught an ember which ignited the grass and burned his lawn and the neighbors.

A burn ban was just issued in Tulsa County on Monday morning.

Was he charged with arson??! Why not? There is a burn ban in the county of tulsa. The city of tulsa is in tulsa county. Stump grinding is a much safer more cost effective method. The individual at fault should be charged with more than just being a freaking idiot.
