A Tulsa man is behind bars, accused of rape and kidnapping.
Charles Shaw was arrested Sunday evening at his home near 1500 N. Knoxville Ave.
According to his arrest report, the victim reported being raped and kidnapped earlier Sunday.
Officers met Shaw at his home and took him into custody. During a search of his home, they discovered a loaded shotgun and bullet proof vests. According to the police report, Shaw told investigators he bought the shotgun from his brother and wears the vests when he goes hunting or to the bar.
The report also lists a prior conviction of armed robbery in 1985. Shaw was arrested for rape and kidnapping in 1988, but the case was dismissed when the witness was not available. He was again arrested for sexual battery in 2010, but charges were declined.
Shaw is being held on $160,000 bond.
