Why didn't they have dna evidence? Didn't they do a rape kit on her? I thought that was standard procedure when a rape was reported and a suspect found. I don't think you can say someone isn't capable of rape because you know him socially or casually, anyone who is arrested for his kind of thing always has at least one friend who swears he would never have done such a thing, even Dahmer and Bundy.
