A man is arrested after police uncover a plot to bomb 48 churches in Miami.

Gregory Arthur Weiler II, of Illinois, was arrested after Miami police found a military bag containing 50 brown glass bottles with duct tape and a piece of cloth in a dumpster outside the Legacy Inn and Suites Thursday morning.

A few hours later, officers were called to a room in the same hotel to investigate items that appeared to be related to what was found in the dumpster.

After getting a search warrant, officers found a gas can, a funnel, lighter fluid and other suspicious items.  Officers also found ripped paper that, when pieced back together, contained a recipe for making Molotov cocktails, a list of 48 Miami churches, a map of those churches and a written outline of his plan.

"That's crazy,” said Gayle Edmondson. “It seems like he would want to blow up every church in town."

He grew up in Miami and is just thankful Weiler wasn’t able to do damage to any of the churches.

"I don't understand why someone would be that upset with Christians," Edmondson told FOX23.

According to court papers, officers found a written journal entry stating "self promote for the next 4 years while beginning list of goals written out in Oklahoma having to do with destroying and removing church buildings from U.S. a tiny bit at a time - setting foundation for the years to follow."

"Satan's a getting a much greater hold on this world than he ever had before," said Jim Wellman, a churchgoer.

"For someone to find that and know about it that was just god's protection for our churches here," said another churchgoer Marybeth Kissee.

She believes it's that faith that protected the churches in this town.

"I believe there is a base of Christians here in the United States and there prayer is keeping back the hand of terrorist plots," she told FOX23.

FBI and ATF are helping Miami police with this investigation.
Weiler is being held without bond in the Ottawa county jail in Miami.

Weiler also kept a lengthy diary on Facebook.  Recent entries refer to him being bullied by a boy at a church when he was younger.  The latest post from Sept. 25, 2012, says he is sitting in a hotel room pondering religious belief systems. He writes,  "Can we do it? I know that if no one else will, then I will stand alone, and form my own. And I am telling you that I have not opened a bible in a while, and I haven't stepped foot into a church building in quite some time - and though I may be very lonely right now, I am hoping that someone, and maybe someday in the future, someone will take notice."

Another looney with a beard that looks suspiciously like a mullah, most likely a rabid Obama idolizer who thought he was doing a big favor for his god.

This story is fishy. Too much "evidence" just laying around waiting to be found by cops who just happen to be in the right place at the right time.
