Tulsa Police arrest a man for first degree manslaughter after receiving a tip about his location.
Brandon Phillips was wanted for the death of Michael Hooks. Hooks was shot at a midtown Tulsa apartment complex on
January 1, 2012. Hooks died at the hospital the next day.
Officers named Phillips as a person of interest in the case a few days after the shooting. They received information he was back in Tulsa at a home in north Tulsa.
On Friday afternoon, TPD, EMSA and TFD were called out to the home for a medical emergency. Officers searched the home and found Phillips hiding in the closet.
Phillips was arrested for first degree manslaughter, larceny and possession of a firearm. He is being held in the Tulsa County Jail on a more than $570,000 bond.
