A man was arrested Sunday night after Tulsa police say he went on a crime spree.
It started Sunday night around 10:30pm when police say Joseph Giroux tried to abduct a woman at a QuikTrip near 31st & Highway 169. He took off before police got there. Then he was spotted at another QuikTrip at 31st & Sheridan, waving a gun. Again, he drove away before police got there.
Then, officers say he went to the Normandy Apartments near 41st & Harvard, and threatened two people.
After that police say he went to the Sand Dollar Apartments near 61st & Peoria, and rammed his truck into an apartment there, and opened fire with a shotgun into the apartment. No one was hurt.
Officers say after that Giroux left the apartments, and caused an accident on Riverside Drive. A woman was hurt, but is expected to be okay.
According to police, Giroux then drove to the River Spirit Casino at 81st & Riverside, and went inside the casino with a sawed-off shotgun.
Officers and security were able to apprehend him safely, as he hid behind some slot machines.
TPD says they were in the process of evacuating and locking down the casino during the incident, but had the suspect in custody before the operation could be completed.
Giroux is being held in the Tulsa County Jail without bond.
