Man arrested, accused of trying to kill wife in Wagoner County

Wagoner County Deputies say they responded to a call of a domestic disturbance in the area of South 257 E. Ave & E 91 St South Wednesday in the Broken Arrow area of Wagoner County.
Deputies say Darla Smith Neighbors had been held against her will with handcuffs. They arrested her husband, Travis Brian Neighbors, 38, of Broken Arrow. Deputies say Neighbors tried to force prescription pills down his wife's throat and attempted to suffocate her on multiple occasions. Deputies say Neighbors also had marijuana, controlled substances, and drug paraphernalia.
Neighbors is expected to be charged with interfering with an emergency call, domestic assault and battery, kidnapping, attempted murder, attempted escape, possession of drugs. He is being held in the Wagoner County Jail.
