Man Surrenders In Osage County In Weekend Killing

AVANT, Okla. (AP) - A man wanted on a murder complaint in Osage County is in custody after surrendering to sheriff's deputies.

Officials say 36-year-old Russell Charles Goddard was arrested Saturday night in Avant for first-degree murder and domestic assault.

Goddard was wanted in the death of 59-year-old Kenneth Ray Klutts of Avant. Klutts' body was found early Saturday near Avant Lake.

Undersheriff Lou Ann Brown says authorities are waiting for a medical examiner's report on the cause of Klutts' death - but investigators says it appears he was beaten.
