Police have arrested a Sand Springs man. Officers say they were called to the home James Blackwell for a domestic disturbance call early Sunday morning. Once there, Blackwell's wife and mother-in-law told officers Blackwell had hit them with a baseball bat. Police say Blackwell refused to obey commands and even put on a full suit of body armor. Officers also say he threatened to set the apartment on fire and carried out that threat. Once officers finally got Blackwell under control, they say they found drugs in his pocket. He is now in jail on several charges.
