TAHLEQUAH, Okla. (AP) — A Cherokee County judge has ordered that a man accused of killing an acquaintance receive a mental evaluation.
Bobby Dean Huckaby is charged with first-degree murder in the February death of Terry Gene Seay, whose body was found in an alley near Sequoyah Elementary School in Tahlequah.
According to an order by Special Judge Sandy Crosslin, Huckaby will be transported from the Cherokee County jail to the Bill Willis Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment Center for evaluation and treatment for mental illness.
Crosslin's order also states Huckaby has been evaluated by a psychologist, who believes Huckaby has post traumatic stress disorder and would benefit from medication.
