A lock down at Metro Christian Academy has been lifted after a search of the school.
The school, near 61st and Peoria, was locked down after a bullet was found in the hallway just before 1 pm on Thursday afternoon. Police say a .22 caliber bullet was found. Parents tell FOX23 they were notified about the incident via email, parents are being allowed to pick up their children.
School officials release the following statement about the incident.
At 12pm a 22mm bullet was found in the hallway of our school. Metro immediately moved into code yellow, progressing to code red for the safety and security of our students and staff. The Tulsa Police Department was contacted and utilized to search the facility. Police dogs specializing in explosives were used the sweep the building. No dangerous substance was found.

Police searched the school an lockers, no other firearms or additional bullets were found during the search and the students have been released to go home.
