Tulsa side streets were just as dangerous in the snow and ice on Thursday night.
It looked like snow on the sidewalk at the corner of East 71st Street and Memorial Drive, but FOX2's Price McKeon found it was actually ice.
Ice and slush on the road didn't stop drivers Thursday night.
Driver Laura Scott said, "I just actually get off work. I have to go pick up son from daycare. They called for immediate pickup."
"(I went) to get gas for tomorrow," said driver Chris Keathley.
Different reasons but both drivers saw the same icy roads in Tulsa.
FOX23 found trucks still making deliveries around Tulsa on Thursday night.
Keathly said, "(I) just drove half a mile and it was it was pretty slippery. I was slipping and sliding."
Ice on the road and his dog Rudy in his car, Keathley didn't let that sliding stop him from preparing for more weather Friday.
Scott said, "Well I tried to get up a hill coming out of my job and I slid right back down."
She told FOX23 she had to use her car's four-wheel drive.
She said, "I was like 'oh my God' please don't let nobody be behind me"
Thankfully no one was and she was back on the road to pick up her son after stopping to get gas at Quiktrip.
"I'm just praying that I make it home OK … basically," Scott said.
McKeon drove the roads and they are slippery. She said even when she was driving extra slow, she felt the car was ice skating multiple times.
