TULSA, Okla. - Local florists are gearing up for one of their busiest days of the year, Valentine's Day.

The National Retail Federation predicts men and women will spend about $130 each on Valentine's celebrations.

Petal Pushers in south Tulsa has already had more orders than last year.

"We've been prepping for about three weeks to get ready for this holiday," said Sandra Rodden. "We have about 350 orders to get out tomorrow."

The flower shop told FOX23 their shelves are stocked and they've already delivered flowers by the truckloads, but there's a lot more work to do.

"We'll work all night. We still have, oh probably a little over 100 to do this evening," said Rodden.

Sandra and Mark Rodden said they don't mind the long hours because they get to help make people happy.

"I've been driving around making dreams come true," said Mark. "It's a nice way to make a living here. No matter what, you're always helping people."
