The Little Light House is looking for volunteers.
Officials say volunteers are an essential part of every Little Light House classroom, providing one-on-one support for preschool-age students with special needs. School officials say students depend on that one-on-one interaction to achieve all of their goals.
Little Light House needs 170 volunteers to serve in the classroom during the upcoming semester. Classroom hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
A Volunteer Open House will be held on Thursday, January 10 from 9:30 AM until 1:00 PM, which will provide those interested in volunteering with the opportunity to tour our facility and meet our volunteer coordinator. The next volunteer training opportunity will be held on Tuesday, January 15, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. All new volunteers will receive a free Little Light House t-shirt.
