Possible egg contamination leads to a food recall across Oklahoma.

Allison’s Gourmet Kitchens recalled their prepared salads as a precautionary measure. The food contains hardboiled eggs supplied by Michael Food Inc. Those eggs have been recalled because of possible listeria contamination.
No illnesses have been reported from this recall. Allison’s Gourmet Kitchens is advising customers to return the packages to the store where they were purchased for a refund.

“We are being extra cautious since listeriosis is a serious illness. If you have the products listed on the recall list, return them to the store for a refund or discard the product. If you have eaten any of the products on the recall list, and develop the symptoms of listeriosis, contact your health care provider,” said OSDH Consumer Protection Division Director K.C. Ely.

Oklahoma is one of 15 states impacted by this recall. For a complete list of the prepared salads being recalled check the FDA website.
