Performers from ‘Disney's The Lion King’ National Tour will host a concert "From the Hart," benefiting the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless.

The event is held on June 24 at 7 p.m. at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame.

‘Lion King’ cast member John Sloan III told FOX23 that the cast enjoys using their creative talents to help every community that they visit.

"The goal of the event is really to unite artists and the community," said John.

John said that the Tulsa Day Center provides a much needed service for Tulsa and that all of the funds raised would benefit the center.

An average of 400 people a day seeks shelter and services at the Tulsa Day Center. Development Director Sharon Catalano said that the benefit concert is a generous gift.

"Those extra dollars will allow us to provide those services and it is really beneficial," said Catalano.

John said that by helping charities across the country, the actors will be able to leave a lasting impression long after the show is gone.

"Everything is impactful and worth it," said John.

General admission ticket price are between $30 and $60.
