A natural gas leak has forced the evacuation of a Tulsa elementary school.

TPS confirms it has evacuated Lindbergh Elementary, 931 S. 89th E. Ave., near 11th St. between Memorial Road and Mingo Ave.

The smell of natural gas in the boiler room of the school prompted the evacuation. ONG has responded to the scene to check out the situation. The Tulsa Fire Department says the gas leak was found in the boiler room and turned off.

The evacuation was reportedly conducted in an orderly fashion, and we have no reports of any injuries.

TPS says children will be released from Eastwood Baptist Church's gym, 949 S. 91st E. Ave. One block east of the school.
