An overturned armored truck closed down two lanes of Highway 75 southbound for almost two hours Friday morning just south of 23rd St.
The accident happened around 7 Friday morning. Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the armored truck was driving down the highway, when a van traveling in front of his truck slammed on the brakes. They say the armored truck driver swerved to miss the van but lost control and flipped the van over on its side blocking two lanes.
There were at least two people inside: the driver and one person riding in the back. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
OHP says it was a Loomis armored truck transporting money. After money was transferred to another Loomis truck, a wrecker flipped the truck over and hauled it off. All lanes of the highway opened back up just before 9 am.
