RSVP’s Knittin’ Kittens created and distributed knitted hats and scarves to Tulsa area school children this week.

This past week, the Knittin’ Kittens distributed over 1,000 hand knitted hats and scarves to school children in under-served schools in the Tulsa area.

Children at Reed Early Childhood Development Center and Sequoyah Elementary School were this year’s recipients of the handiwork. According to school personnel, the children were looking forward to receiving their new hats and scarves, but more importantly to spend time with the RSVP volunteers who helped each child to pick out a hat and scarf especially for them.

RSVP Tulsa, Inc., (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) has been the leading resource for engaging older volunteers, ages 55 and over, to improve lives and the future of northeast Oklahoma since 1971. For more information, visit
