Officials with the Kialegee Tribal Town tell FOX23 they are open to meeting with Broken Arrow School Officials.

At issue are plans to build a Red Clay Casino near the proposed site of a new Broken Arrow Elementary school. BA officials held a school board meeting on Monday night and superintendent said plans for a new school on 111th between 129th and 145th is in the best interest for the district.

Construction on the casino is underway, but the National Indian Gaming Commission says it still has not given approval. Several opposing groups are also trying to stop the construction.

Red can moce the school somewhere else. Considering the state of education those BA residents should be worried about the school-not the casino

Will BA school officials have to travel to Wetumka, OK, to meet with members of the tribe, the way all of the media had to? Or will the Broken Arrow "Headquarters" that the developers' and tribal attorneys stated has been used previously by the tribe for meetings be finished up in time for the KTT to come to BA to meet here? Has that huge commercial dumpster parked in front of HQ been filled and moved yet?
