A Rogers County teenager who pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree manslaughter has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

19-year-old Keaton Hannah was driving drunk when he slammed into an SUV on highway 66 in Verdigris
Eric Watkins and his seven-month-old son, Bryor, were killed in the crash.

Ginger Watkins survived the crash. She left the courtroom in tears.

"I really can't say anything,” Watkins told FOX23. “Honestly, I don't think it is enough because he took my husband and my son."

Hannah cried as the young mother told the judge what was taken from her that day.

"My son was only 7 months, 17 days old and this 18-year-old gets away with it basically," said Watkins. "That's really not enough my son didn't even make it to his first birthday"

Prosecutors requested he get a 50 year sentence and asked that he serve at least 30 years.
The defense argued a shorter sentence would give Hannah a chance to talk to others about the effects of drunk driving.

FOX23 caught up with Hannah before he was taken back in jail. The 19-year-old apologized.

"I'm more sorry than they'll ever know," he said.

However, the family says that is not enough.
They believe the sentence sends a dangerous message.

"That's saying it's ok to drive drunk and kill somebody," said one family member.

The judge said he hoped Hannah will eventually be able to share his story with others to help prevent drunk-driving accidents.

That doesn't seem right. My brother was killed by a drunk driver and he was sentenced to life in prison. This boy killed tow people and only gets 20 years. Where is the justice in that?
