A big children’s clothing and toy consignment kicked off at the Expo Square in Tulsa on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Just Between Friends is an event that allows local families to purchase children’s clothing and toys at a discount and to consign clothing.
Linda Post with Just Between Friends says the parking lot was full of shoppers before the event began and the crowd remained steady throughout the day.
“It was a rush and there were people lined up all the way up towards the parking lot,” said Post, “They just poured in like rain.”
Casey Whitekiller spoke with FOX23 while she was browsing for summer clothing for her children. She says she enjoys shopping at the event because of the prices and the brand name clothing that is available.
“We get twice as much stuff here as we would anywhere else,” said Casey. She told FOX23 she didn’t have any difficult finding the clothing sizes that she was looking for and was able to save a considerate amount of money.
Another shopper told FOX23 that they enjoyed the bargain shopping so much that she attends every year.
Shopper, Jenny Baldwin, says she utilized her empty baby stroller as a shopping cart instead of using a sack. “It can hold a lot of clothes,” said Baldwin.
