A jury deliberating the case against Marquis Bullock finds him guilty of first degree murder.
They've recommended a sentence of life with parole, and he would have to serve 80% of that sentence.
Tulsa County Assistant District Attorney Bill Musseman says Bullock, if paroled, would have to serve 38.3 years in prison.
Bullock was on trial for the November 2007 death of 13-year-old Cori Baker. Her body was discovered several months later at a Creek County paintball park. Prosecutors say she was last seen leaving her school with Bullock. Bullock was dating one of Cori's sisters at the time of Cori's disappearance.
It took the jury more than 4 hours to decide his fate. They were given a choice of convicting Bullock on first degree murder, second degree murder or manslaughter. A judge will formally sentence him at a later date.
