A judge has heard arguments on both sides after a Tulsa police captain sued after being reassigned for refusing to attend a Law Enforcement Appreciation Day at an Islamic Center.
Captain Paul Fields served 80 hours of unpaid punishment in February of 2011 for that refusal and has filed a suit saying the order violated his religious rights.
A judge heard arguments from both sides on Tuesday and will make a decision.
