Judge Gives Cintas Widow Chance To Prove Case

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A federal judge is giving the widow of a Cintas worker from Tulsa a week to prove why certain evidence filed in her 2007 lawsuit should be unsealed for public viewing.

Tuesday's ruling by U.S. Magistrate Judge T. Lane Wilson cracked open the door for Amalia Diaz Torres' wrongful death lawsuit against the nation's largest uniform supplier.

Wilson ruled that Torres' legal team had until Tuesday to provide Cintas with a list of evidence they do not believe is subject to the protective order issued earlier in the case.

Torres claims the Cincinnati-based company is abusing the order by marking more than 90 percent of the case evidence as "confidential," forcing key documents and depositions to be blacked out.

The company has denied those allegations.
