Students at a Joplin elementary school raided their piggy banks to help a Tulsa school that burned down.
Irving Elementary school raised $299.00 for the Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences.
The charter school was destroyed by fire in September.
It is something Irving students can relate to because they lost their school in the deadly EF-5 tornado that tore through Joplin in May of 2011.
They say many people from Tulsa gave their time and money during recovery efforts and they wanted to do the same.
