The juvenile records of a 14-year-old boy charged with first degree murder have been released.  A juvenile court judge allowed the release of the records after a request from FOX23.

Investigators say Joshua Mooney confessed to shooting Mary Escue in Jenks in December. Escue was killed on December 18th while staying with her parents near 111th and Peoria. Court records show he was on court ordered probation when that crime allegedly happened.

Unsealed court records show Mooney had a few criminal incidents before deputies say he broke into a Jenks home and admitted to shooting Escue when she interrupted the burglary.

Records from 2011 show Mooney, 13 at the time and living with his grandmother, and another juvenile stabbed two pigs belonging to a Depew couple. Mooney paid a fine and did community service, and was put on probation for his role in the animal cruelty case.

Records also show Mooney was charged with assault and battery in February of 2012 when police say he and two other juveniles choked and punched a man in Tulsa.

In a court disposition written in May, a Juvenile Justice Specialist writes that, “Joshua does not have a lengthy history with juvenile system although it does seem that he has severe mental health issues at this time.”

That disposition goes on to say that in March of last year, Mooney was placed at Shadow Mountain Behavioral Health Hospital after over-dosing on a drug to treat nerve pain and bi-polar disorder.  He was also diagnosed with ADHD and reportedly made suicidal threats.

The papers reveal Mooney had other issues at home. He ran away, stole his mom's car, and took money from her purse. After learning about that, the court requested increased contact with his court ordered counselor.

The court papers also say the court system repeatedly felt it was best to keep Mooney living at home with his mother and stepfather.

Court records also show that Mooney was placed at Shadow Mountain Behavioral Health Hospital after overdosing on a drug to treat nerve pain and bipolar disorder.

FOX23 contacted Mooney’s mother who had no comment but did say she is upset his criminal history is being released. Mooney is being held in the Tulsa County Jail. Deputies have questioned other teens in this case but no other arrests have been made.

Mooney is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on February, 14th.

I worked with the mother and she is a very conceited individual, very into her and her husband. I pray for all parties involved, I am so sad for all families and this situation and many others is why I dedicate my life to my children taking note to any change in attitude etc. Pay attention to your child at a young age and maybe you can avoid this. Being a single mother raising a boy and being a night clubbing, guy searching woman is a problem! The child suffers while you live your life. This is a result of a teenage pregnancy and too young to understand how important a parent really is. My heart does break for all involved

Yep gotta agree with Windriverrange here, this little creep is a serial killer waiting to happen, he was given a second and third chance, and he killed an innocent many chances does he get? Anyone who says they would take this little Pycho in is either lying, nuts or doesn't care a damn thing about their own families lives, because this boy will kill again, he does it because he likes it...and he will continue unless he is stopped.

@deadric8, how in the world can you say he didn't know what he was doing? So 14 year olds don't know what their doing...silliest thing I have heard in a long time! So if a 14 year old doesn't know what they are doing when will they? Sorry he had his chance, the grand mother had hers and now the state needs to protect its LAW ABIDING citizens. He has already stabbed pigs to death so if he hadn't learned from that then when will he? The little thug is a time bomb waiting to kill someone else someday, while I applaud your sense of fairness, hope its not you or your family he sets his sights on later. The state now has a moral obligation to protect its citizens, not rehabilitate and release a defective human.

Bottom line... he took an innocent life, not the life of another thug...he crossed the line where we as a people have to give up to protect our families or ourselves,he knew what he was doing...he is a psychopath for which no incarceration, mental health help or coddling can cure, blame the parents...mommy potty trained him with a claw hammer when he was 14 now we pay and pay and pay...uh,there is no legal age when you can start murdering

aleman i'm not realy a liberal but i'd take em in...why..cause u cant give up on someone till you've tryed..he is only 14...some drastic change in his daily life might change his his age i blame the blame him is to accept that 14yo's can be responsable for their own actions...which would honestly be just another reason to lower the age of legal maturityeither 14yo's are capable of being responsable for their actions or they cant play the freaking fence'll charge him with murder n throw him in prision for life...but he's not old enough for sex liquer or hypocritical...

Yes Army wife pleas tell us what problems the little criminal had that should allow us to not look at this degenerate for what he is and not to go ahead and start praying for the people he will kill if he is ever released. But you knowing the full story then surely you won't mind having him leave with you and your family if he is ever released. He should never be free again!

@Ettys: He confessed to the shooting. @Army wife: I am sure Mary Escue's family doesn't care what the entire story is.
