A plan to build a community center in south Tulsa is coming together.

Tulsa City Councilor Jeannie Cue is leading the task force to find a location and the money. They'll need $15 million to build the center near 56th and Peoria.

Since many in that area do not have reliable transportation they told FOX23 the community center would be a one stop shop for social services.

Interest in a community center has grown since the murder of four women at the Fairmont Terrace apartments in January.
