The weight of the ice caused a tree to come down at 36th and Riverside.

Officers said at approximately 7 a.m. Saturday, a tree covered in ice fell and blocked the street.

The tree was blocking the northbound lanes. A red car crashed into the tree, but the driver only sprained their thumb.

Crews were able to clear the scene and lanes are reopened.
