The Tulsa County Public Facilities Authority rescinded the naming rights agreement with Muscogee Creek Nation.
This decision postpones the signing of a new naming rights agreement with the Muscogee Creek Nation, per the Chief's request. The authority rescinded a letter to the Horse Racing Commission that said "there would no longer be racing at Fair meadows".
Last week, the Tulsa County Public Facilities initially voted to accept naming rights and a sponsorship agreement with the Muscogee Creek Nation, that agreement called for live horse racing to end.
The agreement had to be reconsidered after the TCPFA learned of contracts between the race director and various horse organizations for the 2013 racing season.
In a meeting on Wednesday, the TCPFA approved an order that says they do want the live racing license and that they will fulfill their end of the agreement for 2013.
