Tulsa police have identified a man killed in a shooting in south Tulsa.

Police say Robert Max Long and another person were shot inside an apartment around midnight Wednesday. It happened at the Fairmont Terrace apartment complex near 61st and Peoria.

Police say the two were sitting inside an apartment on the third floor when they heard a knock on the door. One man opened it, and police say two people carrying guns forced their way in.

Long was shot and killed, the other person shot in the hip and arm.  Police believe Long may have known the assailants.

By the time police arrived, the shooters were already gone. Detectives have been talking to neighbors, but no one says they saw anything. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
