Tulsa, OK- With Thanksgiving here and Christmas right around the corner, the travel industry is dealing with the H1N1 virus and the possibility passengers will travel even though they're infected.
Alexis Higgins, with the Tulsa International Airport, tells us the airport has taken certain steps to cut down on the spread of the swine flu, like wiping down escalator railings with disinfectant and setting up signs explaining the importance of flu-prevention practices.
Some passengers say they're not concerned with being exposed to the virus, while others are taking extra precautions against getting sick.
Both American Airlines and US Airways can charge change fees even if you have to cancel because you're sick.
Delta works with passengers who are too ill to travel on a case-by-case basis, but if they provide a doctor's note, the airline will reschedule the flight without fees. AirTran Airways and United have similar policies.
Higgins says all airlines reserve the right to keep passengers from flying if they think they look sick.
