As snow and ice melted across Green Country, one area caused headaches for drivers.
It's plowed now, but as the snow fell, FOX23 found cars struggling to get up the 71st Street hill at Tulsa Hills.
Cars slid backward and had to turn around. One driver hopped the median because his car couldn't make it up the hill.
"No, and I don't intend to today. I'm afraid you'll get stuck," said one driver.
Matthew Holzmann works at Wine Cellar at Tulsa Hills and said he talked with shoppers stocking up on liquor ahead of the storm.
But once the storm moved in, he told FOX23 even the people braving the weather were nervous.
"People were saying it was a little bit slippery, heard some people saying it was slick. And that people were having a hard time getting up 71st Street hill over the river," he said.
Three hours after opening FOX23 discovered one popular store had only had three customers.
Holzmann has hope he'll see more than that.
"I'm expecting we'll have some people come in and brave the weather because they want to stock up," he said.
The employees FOX23 talked to at stores said they avoided driving on the hill and took other routes to work.
