Tulsa police dispatchers say a chopper has made a hard landing at Tulsa International Airport.

TIA officials tell FOX23 the helicopter, a Robinson R44, had some sort of malfunction. Alexis Higgins with TIA says, the pilot was the only person on-board, and walked away unhurt.

The Robinson R44 II Rotorcraft is registered to Crumpton Aviation, LLC of Tulsa, OK. Officials say it was headed to Jones Riverside Airport, but a couple hundred feet after takeoff, the rear rotor came off and the pilot was forced to make a hard landing.  We're told it is a training helicopter.
