Is it any wonder that people are realizing that we live in a dangerous world and the Police can not protect us as well as we would want them to. Carrying a firearm is a great responsibility that should not be taken lightly. So if you are considering carrying a firearm or simply buying one to keep in your home then please get some professional training. Since I started carrying a gun I have become more aware of my surroundings. I avoid trouble like the plague and walk away from a possible confrontation without a second thought. However, if I am backed into a situation where I believe that I or my wife is in imminent peril, I will engage the threat until it is no longer a threat. I know that any round fired has 50 lawyers and a District Attorney attached to it so I won't be firing any rounds to protect someone that I do not know, no matter the situation. The Police will investigate your murder/rape/assault but they can not prevent it - you are responsible for your own protection until the police arrive. The choice is clear, you can believe the government (Police) will protect you or, you can commit the time and money necessary to become proficient with your weapon of choice. When seconds count, the police are always minutes away.
