A team of narcotics investigators busted a Green Country man accused of selling crystal meth not far from an elementary school.

It was allegedly happening in the suspect's home near Southeast Sixth Street and Madison Avenue in Wagoner.

Ora Ellington Elementary School was on lockdown for at least 30 minutes Wednesday as investigators searched Tommy Parker's home.
He lived 222 yards away from the school. Five different including Wagoner police, Wagoner County Sheriff's deputies, Cherokee Nation Marshals and the District 27 Drug Task Force worked the case.

"You got an elementary school 220 feet away from this residence, that's another one of our big points with making this search warrant a priority because of the proximity to the elementary school," said Michael Moore, District 27 drug task force director.

K-9 units sniffed through the property, alerting investigators to what they say was about a gram of crystal meth and a meth pipe. Investigators also found nearly $1,500 in cash, three rifles and a scale they believe was used to weigh the drugs.

"If you are going to do the drugs you better be ready to do the time because we will come get you," said Wagoner Police officer Jamie Powell.

However, friends of Parker say he isn't a drug dealer.

"Tommy is one of my good buddies, me and him always went riding four wheelers together and worked on his cars but I never known him to sell drugs or anything," said Matthew Botts. "He would give you the shirt off his back."

Parker faces charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and selling within 1,000 feet of a school.
