Grass fire contained near Skiatook

Firefighters from six communities worked to contain grass fire near Skiatook.

Skiatook police officials say the fire started around 11 Wednesday morning on highway 75 between 126th and highway 20. Firefighters estimate the fire burned 75 acres.  Crews got the fire under control, the fire came within 300 feet of a home but did not damage any homes.

Crews from Skiatook, Collinsville, Turley, Sperry, Owasso, and Country Corner and the air guard worked to contain the fire.
