I can't believe all the people that have a problem with the Governor asking us to pray for rain. As a matter of fact, without hearing her request, my dad asked Heaven Father to bless us with the rain that we so badly need. This is the bible belt, I'm surprised there are so many disbelievers. God Bless You All!!!!

I don't have a problem with Governor Fallin asking Oklahomans of "all faiths" to pray for rain. However she asked them to pray "this Sunday" for rain, implying when they were gathered to worship. Not all faiths recognize Sunday as the Sabbath.

@roadhunter- What is your source for that "factual" information? Me, I will add my prayers to God.

I find it unfortunate that people do not believe in God or the power of prayer. I, for one, will be praying for rain for our state. I am proud of Governor Mary Fallin for asking for prayer.

If anyone doubted we have an idiot in the governor's office, this stunt will remove all doubt. Does this crazy woman actually believe in a benevolent deity that has ignored months of constant praying by farmers and ranchers for drought relief will suddenly take pity on them because of her intercession? See, I told you she was nuts. Karl Schneider

She would have been wise to wait until there was rain in the forecast. Studies show prayer doesn't work. She's just going to reinforce that fact with this idiotic move.
