Gas prices are nearing an all-time high in Tulsa.
Gas at the QuikTrip near 21st and Memorial has a gallon of regular unleaded at $3.82, up from $3.64 on Tuesday.
In the last week prices have jumped nearly 40 cents a gallon. Across the Midwest gas prices are creeping toward California levels.
Gas station owners aren't happy about the spike either. “I'm the guy that gets beat up on the corner, I’m the guy that's getting rich, but that's not the way it is," says Kevin Lang, who owns a gas station.
The rise in prices is being linked to refinery maintenance. AAA says routine maintenance usually lasts a week or so.
The highest recorded price in Tulsa for regular unleaded was $3.92 in July of 2008.
